Maithreyi Seetharaman is a London-based international journalist and entrepreneur with more than two decades of global media experience. She founded Facultas Media Limited in 2013 and has been designing, creating and hosting editorial content for clients across the world since. She is also a prolific creator, host and moderator of various international leadership initiatives focussed on transition, SDG goals and overall sustainability issues.
Amongst her many endevours she currently creates and hosts Dow’s flagship podcast ‘Plastics Unwrapped,’ is Founding member of the GLOBSEC Women Leaders Council, the global advisor to U.S. based non-profit ‘Journey’ and writes the fortnightly newsletter, The Chief Brief.
Maithreyi was most recently director of live media content for Fortune Magazine and Co-Chair of Fortune Most Powerful Women International, Fortune Global Forum and Brainstorm Design. She has also created and hosted as Anchor and Executive Editor, five seasons of Euronews’ flagship economic show, Real Economy. She also designed and created the network’s award-winning flagship Middle East show, ‘Inspire Middle East’. Previously, she was the co-host of CNBC Europe’s Squawk Box Europe and anchor and stocks editor for Bloomberg Television in London and New York. Maithreyi helped launch CNBC in India and was the channel’s prime time anchor. She began her professional career as a corporate reporter for the Indian financial daily, The Financial Express.
Maithreyi has served on the Advisory Board of Docusign and holds a Master’s in international relations from the Maxwell School of Citizenship at Syracuse University, New York, and a Master’s in Journalism from Bond University, Australia.
