GLOBSEC Tatra Summit 2024

4–6 October

One of Central and Eastern Europe’s (CEE) longest-standing leadership meets, the GLOBSEC Tatra Summit is held annually in the untouched and rarefied mountain air of the High Tatras. This intimate, informal and invitation-only mountain-top retreat brings together key leaders and stakeholders from the region, EU, US, and the world. To push for real change, a cross-sectoral gathering of peers, comprising key government ministers, business and financial market leaders, policymakers, economists, and experts will come together to discuss opportunities, policies, and investment issues of mutual concern. GLOBSEC Tatra Summit 2024 is organised in cooperation with the co-chairs of the Summit: Mathias Cormann, Secretary General of OECD, Thierry Déau, Chief Executive Officer of Meridiam, and Gordon Bajnai, Chairman of the Advisory Board and Global Head of Infrastructure of Campbell Lutyens.

FOSTERING REAL DIALOGUE

To foster an open discussion that the Summit aims for, attendance at the event is limited. Guests are selected based on each year’s topic, with consideration for diversity, background, and industry. Group of guests in 2024 will comprise approximately 150 C-suite business leaders, thought leaders, and key political decisionmakers. The Summit will include interactive sessions, boardroom style discussions, alongside casual fireside conversations, mountain hikes, cocktails and dinners. Press attendance will be limited to a small group of senior journalists, with media coverage/on-record conversations restricted to only on-stage plenary sessions. All other conversations are strictly off the record, unless explicitly and by mutual agreement requested by the attendees. GLOBSEC will provide transportation assistance to and from the Summit to all of our guests.

FRESH AIR, FRESH PERSPECTIVES, THE UNTOUCHED SLOVAK MOUNTAINS AND HOSPITALITY

The Summit is set in the highest village in Slovakia, Štrbské Pleso, on the banks of the second-largest glacial lake on the Slovak side of the High Tatras. Štrbské Pleso is best known for being the top ski destination in Slovakia’s High Tatras mountain range. The venue is a perfect place to disconnect from the world. With more than 100 lakes, dozens of waterfalls, and the highest peaks in Tatra National Park to discover nearby, the fresh air allows participants to really open themselves up to fresh perspectives.
